ICAAHK celebrated Christmas online for the first time on 19 December! In this virtual “Christmas by the Bay” experience, speaker and award-winning marine conservationist Lesley Rochat shared her story of becoming the Shark Warrior, her campaign against serving sharks fin at wedding banquets and outreach programme to “Rethink the Shark”. Members also caught up over a cozy Christmas bingo game where 5 lucky winners won Christmas goodies which they can enjoy with their families during the festive season.
Over $1,700 was raised and donated to AfriOceans Conservation Alliance (https://www.aoca.org.za). Thank you to everyone who joined and wish you and your families a Merry Christmas!
